Announcements Preseason 10/11
Posted by James_Doolan on Monday, 07 June 2010 (02:27:37) (212 reads)

Hello Bears,

There is lots going on behind the scenes including recruiting, setting up new
coaching and committee structures and organising the coming AGM. Some of these
changes will be announced very shortly.

Part of my role is to plan and coordinate a pre season schedule that enables
everyone a chance to participate. Attached you will find the pre season schedule
that is spread over 3 different locations in Camberwell, Kew, and Blackburn and in
total 18 sessions before we play our first game. I have booked alternative times and
dates where possible to allow those that train for footy and soccer on Tuesdays or
Thursdays an opportunity to attend these sessions.

Ideas Bears, don't spend your winter months in hibernation!
Posted by tim_norton on Monday, 10 May 2010 (01:29:55) (210 reads)

chippy writes "Instead of spending the winter on the couch like a sloth why not play some baseball. Games are a flat 2 hours Saturday's starting at 12.30 and the game involves plenty of skills that will sharpen you up for the cricket season. For those interested in playing some "ball" contact the team manager Greg Fisher at greg.fisher@shell.com or myself steverimer@optusnet.com.au and we'll fill you in.

We could certainly use your help some of our current players are not the greatest athletes.

Chippy"

1st XI News Semi Final
Posted by tim_norton on Monday, 08 March 2010 (19:19:10) (340 reads)

Anonymous writes "Bears,

After losing the toss in perfect conditions on Saturday we were in the field. The pitch was perfect and all was set for a cracking game.

Mulgrave were in all sorts of trouble at the tea break on day 1.

Nick Dinnison 3 wickets was the pick of the bowlers in an attack that was in complete control of the game and firing. Mulgrave 7-85 at tea.

That was it. The next 2 and half days were washed out and no more cricket for season 09/10. See attached photo for the evidence.

Season over for our lads however we all watched the fives have a mighty win against Clifton Hills and this week go into the Grand Final with a chance to bring home some silverware back to the Cave. Good luck guys.
