- Dark, 1 colour, track-pants / shorts (Blue, Black, Green) (No boardshorts please)
- Runners & spikes (if owned) and white socks.
Warm Up

- Full Stretching Routine.
- Minimum 20 Push-ups.
- Minimum 20 Sit-ups.
- Minimum 20 Underarm throws/catches.
Batting
- Play as you would in a game. (Don’t go for shots that aren’t there.)
- Work on your weaknesses.
- Perform all running drills as directed by nets co-ordinator.
- If you hit the ball over a neighbour’s fence, your batting practice is terminated and you are to retrieve the ball immediately (though you may not respect the bowlers – you must respect our park neighbours).
Bowling
- Bowl as you would in a game. (Work on line & length.)
- Work on batsmen’s weaknesses.
- Practice new deliveries. ie slower balls, leg cutters, wrong ‘uns, arm balls etc.
Fielding
- Use initiative to start or change drills rather than stand around waiting for a hit.
- Make the most of the drills:- WORK HARD & GET SOMETHING OUT OF IT.
- We welcome everyone having a turn at taking a leadership role & varying the drills.
- There will be a minimum of 20 minutes fielding at the end of each training night.
- Stretching – Everyone does the same stretching exercises in the warm-down session.
Variations
- As a courtesy, your unavailability to train must be communicated to any of the Captains, club Coach or Selection Committee, and in turn forwarded on to the Nets Co-ordinator.
- All players are to notify the Nets Co-ordinator of their presence upon arrival and must inform him of any early departures at that time.
- All players are expected to attend training on wet nights. We run a series of skills drills.
Help & Assistance
- The turf practice nets don’t mysteriously appear and get put away on their own each week. Please lend a hand when you have time so we can share the workload evenly.
